Field status is updated daily around 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and around 7:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Coaches and or team managers, any changes in field status beyond this point will be communicated to you through your league administrator.

Code Red indicates all field games and activities are closed and postponed for the evening.

All Neuse River Access Points Closed

The following river access points for canoe and kayak launch on the Neuse River are closed for safety due to multiple log jams on the river.

Parking lots with joint access to the greenway and the river are open for use. Access to the river is closed until further notice.

  • Milburnie Dam

The City of Raleigh is working with the Department of Transportation and the railroad company to remove the multiple log jams along the river between City of Raleigh river access points. We will post updates as progress is made on the multiple log jams as multiple sites. Please note that the river status, of closed, may not change until the last log jam is mitigated.

Buffaloe Road Aquatic Center Closed 9/11, Modified Hours and Capacity

Buffaloe Road Aquatic Center will be operating on modified hours of operation due to staffing. Please note that Buffaloe Road Aquatic Center has reduced capacity, and the large waterslide will have limited availability.

Hours of Operation

  • Wednesday, Sept. 8 - Closed
  • Thursday, Sept. 9 - Open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Swim Lessons will proceed as scheduled)
  • Friday, Sept. 10 - Open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday, Sept. 11 - Closed (Swim Lessons will proceed as scheduled)
  • Sunday, Sept. 12 - Open 1 to 5 p.m. 
  • Monday, Sept. 13 - Open 3 to 7 p.m.

Pullen Amusements Modified Operating Hours

Pullen Amusements are operating on the following schedule:

  • Pullen Carousel
    • Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
    • Saturdays and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Pullen Train
    • Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
    • Saturdays and Sundays, 2 to 6 p.m.
  • Kiddie Boats
    • Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Cashiers may not be available. Guests are strongly encouraged to purchase their tickets online in advance on RecLink.

Please expect extended wait times during peak hours. A mask will be required when riding the carousel and is strongly suggested at all other times.

Pedal boats are closed for the season.

Code Red

Glen Eden Park Parking Lot Closed

We will be closing the parking lot off of Eden Croft Drive starting April 27 through the end of construction. The project is expected to be completed by October 2021. This could change due to weather or other construction factors.

Additional parking is available at 1500 Glen Eden Dr. Please access the playground via the greenway trail next to the building.

Baileywick Park Construction Fall 2021

Construction is anticipated to begin in Fall 2021. During construction, the open lawn area to the east of the parking lot, shelter #1, and the restroom building will be closed. Temporary outdoor toilet facilities will be provided. Parking will also be impacted, with an estimated 20 spaces unavailable for use.

Nearby shelters of similar size are located at Peter Williams Park, Lake Lynn Park, Brier Creek Park, and Honeycutt Park

Greenway Alerts

As greenways trails and structures age, maintenance and repairs are necessary. Due to the nature of this work, the trails will occasionally need to be closed to complete this work in a safe and efficient manner.
